Manufactured 1957. Very seldom seen, this rifle is factory stamped with "WINCHESTER" trade mark on left side of frame, no red paint. The tube has the gallery guns only triangle-shaped loading port at the bottom of the tube. Left side of barrel is stamped "Model 62a .22 Short" along with left side barrel legend. Gun is blued, take down, tube magazine, straight grip walnut stock with Winchester black butt plate and grooved flat bottom forearm sporting a bead front sight and flat top rear. CONDITION: Excellent. The frame shows a touch of high edge wear, light freckling, and light handling only. The slide bar displays some wear. The barrel and tube retain nearly all of their finish with some light handling and a couple of freckles. The stocks are excellent with some scattered impressions. The bore is bright. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
