Manufactured 1911. This factory short rifle features the special 8 - 3/8" short forearm as well as the correct 7/8" front sight set-back and 1/8" tube set back. Features include a full round barrel, full length magazine tube, pinned and dovetailed front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, Marble's tang sight, blue finish, and walnut stock with rifle butt plate and matching forearm. CONDITION: Very good. Stock is flush to metal, refinished at one time, as has the forearm, which is a bit lighter in color tone. The receiver is a smooth brown patina with strong blue on loading gate. The barrel and tube are also smooth patina with some bright blue in protected areas. The Winchester barrel legends are crisp. The action is fine and the bore is defined but has abrasions. A very desirable .25 caliber short rifle. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
