MANUFACTURED IN 1904. This is a fairly high condition slide action rifle with full octagon barrel, tube magazine, dove tail front sight, patent 1901 rear sight, take down, blue finish, walnut stock with rifle butt plate and grooved forearm. Rifle sports a barrel mounted original Winchester A-5 3/4" tube scope with a clear standard cross hair reticle with original "grasshopper" adjustable rear mount. Also sports Winchester style sling eyes, hook swivels and contemporary leather sling. Strong Winchester barrel legends on left side. CONDITION. Excellent. Receiver retains 97% factory bright blue with few handling marks and freckles. Barrel retains majority of it's blue with a few freckles near end of barrel. Tube shows about 30% flaking. Stock is proud to metal and only minor handling. Excellent forearm. Bore is still bright. Scope body shows some blue mixing patina but excellent. Really sharp far better than average 1890.PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
