Per included factory research the serial number was applied to this rifle June 3, 1905 and it shipped September 13 of the same year. Fitted with a 22" tapered extra light blued nickel steel barrel with sporting sights. Takedown frame and half-length magazine. Checkered walnut forend of nice figure. Checkered pistol grip stock exhibits very fine feather crotch grain with a hard rubber WRACO grip cap and blued crescent rifle butt plate. Inside of tang is stamped with a "21235 X" assembly number and wood grade, corresponding "94 / T / 21235" numbering present on the stock under the butt plate. Configuration matches factory research excluding the sights, originally shipping with a Lyman combination front and leaf rear. Rifle is accompanied by a contemporary fleece lined hard sided Winchester case and a 1935 style box of Winchester .30-30 ammunition. CONDITION: Excellent as restored. Rifle retains virtually all of its expertly reapplied blued finish with some light marks and some freckles under the finish. The replacement wood displays extremely well and is very fine condition with crisp checkering and only a few light handling marks. A few filled in screw holes present on the receiver. Very good, bright bore with strong, well defined rifling. Fine mechanics. A very attractive restored Winchester in very scarce, desirable configuration. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
