Originally manufactured for use in World War I, this rifle has been attractively restored to as near new condition. Full military configuration with parkerized finish, "JA" Johnson Automatic military replacement barrel, protected blade front sight, ladder rear, and replica finger groove walnut stocks. Barrel is import marked. As is common on post-war rebuilt rifles, rifle includes many Eddystone made parts. Rifle is housed in a very attractive replica pine transit chest and is accompanied by a refinished Remington bayonet with leather scabbard, "MART / 12-86" marked leather sling, an original 1944 Tweedie muzzle cover, stripper clips, a reprint manual, and Miltech paperwork. CONDITION: Excellent as restored. Rifle retains nearly all of its reapplied finish with some areas of pitting under the finish. Stocks show only a few light impressions. Strong bore. ME reads approximately 1.5. TE of 5. Fine mechanics. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
