Rare commemorative set of a Winchester 94 and Colt Single Action Army showcasing matching serial numbers and representing the legends of the American West. Gun (A) is Winchester Model 94 Oliver Winchester Commemorative Carbine, Serial no. 1556WC 20" barrel in .44-40 chambering. Blued finish with case hardened lever. Gold floral etched panels on barrel and receiver depicting factory buildings, a portrait of Oliver Winchester, Winchester rider logo, and "WC" monogram. Checkered and highly figured walnut stocks. Gun (B) is a Colt Single Action Revolver with matching serial no. 1556WC also in .44-40 caliber with 7 - 1/2" barrel. Blued finish with case hardened receiver. Single line barrel address on top of the barrel and 3-line patent dates on the left side of the frame. Gold floral etched panels on barrel and cylinder. Barrel with image of Colt factory. Cylinder with etched ovals containing the Rampant Colt and "WC" initials. 1-piece oil finished walnut grips. Set is attractively housed in the correct French fitted walnut display case. This set also includes 2 matching Colt and Winchester logo medallions. CONDITION: Excellent as new with light handling marks appears unfired since factory proofing. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.

ADDENDUM: The original Colt Commemorative box has been provided, and correctly identifies this gun by serial number on the end label.
