There were a total of 12 Kansas Colt Frontier Scouts issued from 1965-1971. They were offered individually and once a series was finished, Colt put all four of the series into a single complete cased set. The Trails series were issued from 1967-69. CHISHOM TRAIL 1967, SANTE FE TRAIL 1968, PAWNEE TRAIL 1968 and SHAWNEE TRAIL 1969. These legends are on left side of barrel. All have the Colt legends on top and right side of barrel with pony in circle on frame. Finishes are blue and nickel mixed and two cylinders are not fluted. Grips are faux ivory, faux pearl and rosewood. The special four gun wooden display features a special Kansas Series Trails on lid. CONDITION: All guns appear unfired, show near new, with light handling. The four gun sets are rather scarce. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
