The Press Button Knife Company was a division of the Walden Knife Company. George Schrade oversaw production of these knives based on his 1892 patent. These knives were only produced from 1892-1923. This is the Victor model, 5" with folding guard (8 5/8" fully opened), stag handle, five nickel silver bolsters. Blade is stamped Press Button. This style knife is pictured on page 100. CONDITION: Excellent. Sharp clean blade, scales are near mint. Opens but does not lock in place and needs a new spring. Rare switchblade. PROVENANCE: From a single consignor life long collection. A great many of these knives were obtained from Mark Erikson and many are pictured in his book "Antique American Switchblades" published in 2004.
