Manufactured in 1951. Classic blued Winchester Proof Steel sporter weight barrel with globe front sight and Lyman 48 peep rear. Highly desirable deluxe Super Grade style checkered walnut sporter stock with ebony forend tip, recessed sling eyes, "SPORTING" marked bottom metal, hard rubber WRACO grip cap, cheek piece, and checkered blued steel butt plate. Complete with 2 10-round Winchester magazines, 2 5-round Winchester magazines, and 2 aftermarket "W" marked 5-round magazines. CONDITION: Very good as nicely restored. Barrel and receiver retain nearly all of their expertly reapplied blued finishes with some minor high edge silvering. Bottom metal retains the majority of its original blue with areas flaking to brown patina. Stock has light handling marks throughout. Checkering remains crisp. Very fine bright bore with strong, well defined rifling. Fine mechanics.
