Manufactured 1919. Otherwise known as the .250 Savage that left the muzzle at 3000 ft/s, and developed by Charles Newton for the Savage Model 99 in 1915. This is a takedown rifle that features a blue finish with case color lever, brass cartridge counter, folding leaf rear sight, high blade and post front sight, and sporting a 1950s Bushnell Scope Chief 4x with a clear standard crosshair reticle on Weaver rings. The pistol grip stock is checkered with a grip cap and steel butt plate. Matching forearm has a Schnabel tip. CONDITION. Very good. The barrel and receiver retain the majority of the expertly restored blue finish retaining sharp legends. The wood is excellent with sharp checkering but has some added finish. Still shows some case colors on sides of lever. The bore is bright. Comes with two boxes of Bitterroot Valley .250-3000 Savage in Remington boxes.
