Comes with a letter from Lelands Auction in New York, where the ball was originally sold in 1991. Official American League Ball, William Harridge, Pres. Autograph of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig is on the sweet spot. Also looks to have autograph of Tommy Henrich. Also legible is Myril Hoag, Hall of Famer Lefty Gomez and other signatures. Ball has some wear and staining, and some fading to some of the signatures. The best signature and most clear is the Lou Gehrig signature. The 1938 team won the Pennant and won the third straight World Series, the first time any team ever did so.
CORRECTION: Somewhat faded signature of HOF Joe DiMaggio.
