Probably pre-war from Germany. The top bobs back and forth when you hit it. Made of a paper mache composition and depicts Joe holding boxing gloves under his chin. Cloth shorts are probably replaced. Has German writing on the wooden pedestal. There is some slight crazing to the composition and the figure has possibly been repainted over the years. Rare and historical boxing piece, probably made around the time of the Louis - Schmeling fights.
