There were about 70,000 Model 1795 muskets produced at Harpers Ferry between 1800 and 1815. This example is of standard configuration with barrel stamped with oval "P". The lock is marked "HARPERS / -ERRY / 1813" and has an eagle stamped in the center. Standard iron furniture and walnut stock. CONDITION: All steel and iron components have been cleaned and now retain a grey patina with scattered darker areas. Lock is in original flint, although some screws have been replaced, markings show some wear. Stock has been broken and repaired with a large section at the toe, comb has been altered. Cracked wrist has been repaired.
