This Type I Model 1795 has been restocked during its period of use and the barrel shortened to 42-5/8". This musket features a standard barrel with partially visible "P" at breech with two very deep rectangular sunken "NC" cartouches. The original iron furniture was used but the front trigger guard tang has been shortened and altered when restocked. Plain walnut stock. Complete with original iron ramrod and "NC" marked associated triangular socket bayonet. CONDITION: All iron components retain a dark patina with scattered pitting. Lock is in its original flintlock configuration and functions properly. Stock shows scattered marks from use. Bayonet retains a grey patina.
