DSP. Maker Marked "Veribrite Signs. Chicago." A clean and glossy example of this C. 1930's double sided porcelain sign from Marathon Products featuring the iconic runner graphic. CONDITION: Side 1 shows outstanding color and shine throughout the field. There is one porcelain chip in the field on the runner's front knee. The outer edges of the sign show light porcelain chipping, the worst of which is on the bottom outer edge just below the "D" in "Products." Otherwise the color and gloss are excellent (8.75). Side 2 shows heavier surface scratches in the center field (largely confined to the black section). There is one porcelain chip next to the runner's back knee that has been touched up black at some point in the past. There is another chip below the "A" in "Marathon" that has been touched up as well. The outer edges of the sign show porcelain chipping and general wear (8.0). This sign comes with an original hanging ring.
This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
