Manufactured after 1941. Scarce full round barrel with a Model 62 Type 17 flat bottom grooved forearm and walnut stock with Winchester buttplate. The barrel has P in circle (mail order replacement), which indicates this barrel did not leave the factory on this frame but was returned/replaced. Obviously, a late parts clean up gun. Features a 23" barrel that is stamped Model 90 and in the .22 WRF caliber, late rounded crown, blue finish, 2/3 tube magazine, take down, Marble's bead and semi-buckhorn sights. Rifle has the post 690,000 serial number tang stamp. Hammer spur is checkered 3rd style. Post-1919 side Winchester barrel legend with missing (18) 90 without the gap (post 700,000 range). An interesting oddity. The Winchester book concludes that these were made after 1946. CONDITION: Excellent. Receiver retains about 85% blue turning patina at base with light handling marks. Barrel and tube are 95% with some patina and handling marks. Stocks are excellent and proud to metal. Bore is strong but lightly frosted. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
