This is a post 1884 arsenal rebuild in which a Buffington Carbine marked sight with updated barrel band was installed and was then refinished. Features the round barrel, single barrel band, blue finish, walnut stock with no visible inspector marks and the saddle ring and bar. Barrel breech has the proof P stamp only. No eagle head. CONDITION: Excellent as rebuilt / refinished. Stock has scattered dings along with a light hairline on right side of wrist at action. Metal is a smooth homogenous dulling blue. All legends are sharp. Action works correctly. Bore is sharp with light abrasions. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
