Manufactured in 1907. Left side of the frame is marked with patent dates in 2 lines. Left side of the barrel is marked " NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER". ".303 British" marked chamber. "WINCHESTER/MODEL 1895" marked on the top tang. Features a round steel barrel with a blade on base front sight and a Marble's buckhorn style rear sight. Walnut stock with rifle butt plate. Forearm has ebony inset. CONDITION: Very good. Stock is shy to metal, has been filled and plugged at wrist with added stain and finish. Forearm has added finish as well. Metal is basically gunmetal grey with scattered freckling but retains some bright blue on bolt. Legends are sharp. Rifling well defined but frosted. Mechanically fine. Rather hard to find caliber. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
