The factory research states that this gun was shipped on January 23, 1905 with close set triggers, an extra length 26" octagon barrel and "Lyman rear leaf and combination front sight". The rifle now sports a Sheard front sight but does have the Lyman tang sight with a flat top rear sight. Rifle also sports sling eyes with hook swivels not mentioned on record. Standard features include full length magazine tube, blue finish, and walnut stock with rifle buttplate and matching forearm. CONDITION: Fine. The receiver has turned a soft homogenous patina mixing with flashes of blue along with strong blue on loading gate and bolt. The barrel and tube retain generous blue that is blending patina with sharp edges. Strong Winchester barrel legend. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal with scattered small dings and impressions with some added finish. Action is in working order, set triggers function correctly. Bore is defined but has abrasion. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
