Per the included letter from Richard Milner, this Webley & Scott was a .476 Webley Express sold on February 17th, 1886, to the Army & Navy CSL, who subsequently sold it to Lashman Esq in September of the same year. German silver half moon front sight on octagonal barrel with pinched thin top flat. Top strap over cylinder marked "ARMY & NAVY CSL" and "EXPRESS". Left side of frame with ".455 CF & .45 LONG" over the Webley & Scott winged bullet and serial number. Right side on frame with "WEBLEY'S / No 5 / 476". Ejector rod housing with kidney shaped rod head. Birdshead grips with checkered walnut grips and rotatable lanyard loop. Typical British proofs throughout, including proofs over cylinder. CONDITION: Good, retaining approximately half of the English high polish bluing with losses primarily to frame and straps, with other scattered areas of loss throughout. Mechanically fine, bore with strong rifling and some mild oxidation.
