You can find this exact lure in Dudley Murphy’s Blue Book on page 263. LeRoy Yakely lived in Syracuse, NY, and was the patent holder for the famous Rush Tango. He did, however, make other baits, and this is one of them. Measuring 3 3/8” and dating to about 1914, this great little bait features a red head and yellow body separated by a thin strip of silver paint, Brass nose & tail caps, the front one painted red, and white hatpin eyes. Belly double hook is attached with a screw eye & cup, and there is a rear treble hook. There is a single belly weight with a tiny hole in it for some unknown purpose, and the tube prop is thickly painted white. The bait grades Very Good / Very Good Plus and accompanying it is an unmarked wood box in excellent condition.

Item Dimensions: 3 - 1/2" length.
