Manufactured in 1908. This rifle was shortened to 22" at one time and the stock was probably shortened at the same time. Features full octagon barrel, full magazine, replaced brass bead front sight, replaced semi-buckhorn rear sight, and walnut stock with newer Winchester black butt plate and full-length walnut forearm. CONDITION: Very good. Receiver is a dull patina. Barrel and tube are a mix of blue and grey with overall age freckling and spotting. Stock is proud to metal but was shortened to a 13" length of pull, with later butt plate added, showing scattered small dings and dents. Forearm has scattered dings. Action is smooth. Bore is well defined but dull. Winchester barrel legends are sharp.
