Manufactured in Austria by Steyr. This example has British proof marks on barrel breech and is stamped "Not English Made" on left side with "Foreign" stamped on right side under serial number. An English engraved "A1596" is found on trigger guard. Receiver breech has the typical Mannlicher Schoenauer 1908 Model legend. This is a full stock Mannlicher model with walnut stock with hand-cut checkering, pistol grip with cap, straight comb with roll over cheek piece, steel butt plate with bullet trap, and swivels. Standard blue finish, single trigger, butter knife bolt handle, ramp front sight and two leaf folding rear sight. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal retains at least 98% blue finish with light handling marks. Stock is excellent, sharp checkering, with usual scattered light impressions. The action is smooth. The bore is bright.
