DSP. Sign is Maker Marked Vilas Enamel. An outstanding example of this seldom seen C. 1930's Porcelain Sign for White Rose Gasoline showing Boy with Chalkboard graphic. CONDITION: Side one is brilliant showing excellent color & gloss throughout with no notable field chipping and only a minor amount of fine surface scratch. Side one shows some minor chipping and wear at the mounting holes as well as along the outer edge, (GRADE 90). Side two also showing outstanding color & gloss throughout the field with no inner or outer field chipping. Side two shows some very minimal surface wear with light wear at the mounting holes and along the outer edge, (GRADE 91). An exceptionally clean example of this sign, one of the highest graded examples we have sold.
