Manufactured in 1940. Standard rifle with blue finish, ramp front sight, filled rear sight slot, brass cartridge counter, jeweled bolt, hand checkered oil finished walnut stock with pistol grip, grip cap, Savage metal butt plate, swivels, and matching forearm. The lever is case colored. Sports a scope with crosshair reticle on Buehler base. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains majority of barrel blue with light muzzle wear and handling mark. There is some base carry and high edge wear with thinning on receiver. The stocks show some added finish with sharp checkering and a few impressions. Some color remains on sides of lever. Bore is well defined but lightly frosted. Glass is clear.
