Made in Austria by Steyr in 1953. This is a fairly scarce caliber in this rifle. This example has the Mannlicher style full length walnut stock with hand cut checkering, pistol grip with cap, black plastic butt plate. Other features include a hooded ramp front sight, two leaf rear sight, single trigger, butter knife bolt handle, bright blue finish and a vintage Lyman Alaskan adjustable scope with heavy post and line clear reticle. Receiver bridge has factory Mannlicher Schoenauer 1952 legend. Floor plate has the Stoeger legend. CONDITON: Excellent. The metal is solid 99% but there is one 1/8" spot of roughness on backtip of frame on right side. There is some surface abrasion on same area of scope from where it rested. The stocks are excellent with minimal scattered impressions. Action is smooth. Bore is bright.
