Lot consists of: (A) Italian Fasces that was recovered from a locomotive in 1943 at the rail yards in Porto Empedcle by General Henry K. Kellogg. There is a full packet of provenance accompanying this Fasces which details the General's family searching for more information after hearing the story from him. The symbol measures 16 - 1/2" long and is marked "A / PERANI / BRESCIA" on reverse and "65 / TV" on top. Reverse is blackened with patina and older polishing exhibited on obverse. CONDITION: Good. (B) Fasces desk plaque with accompanying tag that states it was "liberated" from the Fascist headquarters in Favara, Italy on September 9, 1943 by then Lt. Col. Henry K. Kellogg. Nice patina with sturdy metal base. CONDITION: Good. Also included are one of the general's belt plates and hat insignia.
