Manufactured in 1943. Fairly standard mid-war Remington US contract 1911-A1. Left side of slide has the stamp "REMINGTON RAND INC. SYRACUSE NY USA". Left side of frame has the Frank Atwood inspector stamp FJA. with proof P. Right side of frame has the Ordnance wheel stamp with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911 U.S.ARMY". Parkerized finish, short checkered trigger, Keyes brown plastic grips, checkered hammer, arched serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop, beveled notch rear sight. Also comes with six magazines, an extra High Standard barrel, a Boyt holster, web belt, magazine pouch. CONDITION: Fine. Shows overall high edge holster wear, some areas of thinning, sharp legends, excellent grips, sharp bore with some frosting. Extra barrel with a bright bore.
