Post-War drilling built in 1957 in Germany by arguably the most famous and talented of all German gunmakers of that era with an eye towards quality and perfection. It comes with the original dated sales slip listing this gun as a Model 3000. There is an original brochure showing a Model S/53. Gun has all matching numbers. The barrel flats indicate nitro proofed and all of the pertinent specs and proofs. Barrels are rust blued with solid matted rib, Sauer legend on left side, small bead front sight, and pop up leaf rear sight. The scalloped box lock receiver is done in coin finish with light engraving and maker legends. Gun has double triggers, a tang selector that operates the rifle sight, and a left side safety. Once rifle barrel is selected, it has a forward push set trigger. Dark walnut oil finish stock with straight comb, roll over cheek piece, checkered pistol grip with cap, monogram butt plate, swivels, and matching forearm. This drilling comes with a canvas and leather hard carry case, 2 boxes of 16 gauge slugs, a test target for both the 16 gauge slugs and the 8mm, both matching serial numbers. There is also a dated certificate with serial number as well. CONDITION: Excellent. Exhibits light handling wear only. Bores are bright.
