Manufactured in 1912. It was known as Colt's most expensive automatic pistol. Two line patent dates and a two line Colt address are on the left side of the slide. Two line caliber designation is on the right side of the slide. There is a VP proof and a W inspector's mark on the left trigger bow. Two piece checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt logo in the center of the grip and the word COLT at the top of each grip. Lanyard ring at the left side bottom of the grip. Correct detachable box magazine. It comes in an unmarked military style leather flap holster with a web belt and two mills magazine pouches and one extra magazine. CONDITION: This gun has vast amounts of the original applied blue finish. The gun has high edge wear and spots of thinning finish. The front and rear straps have no finish. The case color on the spur hammer is fading. Good bore with well defined lands and grooves. The checkering on the grips shows a little wear. Holster stitching is tight and serviceable. The belt and pouches are in good condition.
