Built in 1911, with a total of 6100 manufactured. This was a relatively small run of guns. Two line patent dates and a two line address are on the left side of the slide. Two line caliber designation on the right side of the slide. VP proof of the left front trigger bow. There is an inspector's mark on the left rear trigger bow. It is a W and stand for the inspector Axel L. Hallstrom. Rampant Colt logo in a circle on the left rear of the slide. Two piece checkered wood grips. Detachable box magazine. It comes with a full factory sealed box of Remington UMC ammunition. CONDITION: This gun has vast amounts of the original blue finish. The grip straps have lost most of the finish on them. Fair bore with well defined lands and grooves. There is frosting in the barrel. Checkering on the grips show some slight wear. The ammo box is in mint shape.
