Manufactured 1968 per serial number. Serrated slope front sight, square notch flat top rear sight, left side with Colt Government Model roll mark, right with Colt's Hardford rollmark. Right side of frame with serial number. Trigger guard with typical inspector proofs and VP proof. Barrel hood with "COLT .45 AUTO" visible through ejection port. Small parts comprise; narrow serrated hammer, serrated thumb safety, slide release, and magazine release, short rigger with added shoe, long A1 grip safety, and arched serrated mainspring housing. Colt composite grips with embossed Rampant Colt medallions. Fully blued magazine. In Colt two piece wood grain box, with matching serial number on underside of box in white grease pencil and an Army Technical Manual, TM 9-1005-2011-34. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the original bluing throughout with scattered handling marks and surface scratches throughout, some silvering, with thinning to sharp edges. Typical takedown mark. Grips with unusual white discoloration on interior and visible about edges; grips appear to be a replacement as bushings do not perfectly line up with screw holes. Mechanically fine, bore with good, visible rifling and gentle frosting and some firing residue.
