Barrels fit with a red fiber optic front sight and ivory mid bead on a low profile ventilated rib with machine cut anti-glare matting. Engraved on the left side of the top barrel "Fabrique Nationale d'Armes de Guerre Herstal Belgique Schnary-Waffen-Bern". Visible proofs under forearm include an encircled "12-70" for a 2 - 3/4" chambered 12 gauge; barrels are marked under ejectors with choke codes for Full over Modified. Darkly colored and nicely streaked walnut forearm is checkered in a modified point pattern about the forearm. Exterior iron and lumps are engraved with very tight acanthus scrollwork with supporting scrollwork and florals. Boxlock action is engraved en suite with near complete coverage, and is signed "Leunen J" on both sides at rear for Joseph Leunen. The engraving is very well done, in an almost Arts and Crafts style. Discrete import mark for Foxtrot, Elbridge, New York on wing. Non automatic safety with a gold intaglio "S" ahead of slide and "O" and "U" abutting for barrel selector positions. Single trigger, stock in a long tang square knob configuration. Stock of a nicely marbled walnut build with sidepanels, drop points, and modified point pattern checkering about the wrist, ending in a red rubber recoil pad with English style covered screws. Housed in a Browning case. CONDITION: Barrels with the vast majority of their bluing with some scattered handling marks throughout, and some thinning to sharp edges and reciprocating areas. Forearm very good with some scattered handling marks and a few minor chips where wood interfaces with iron. Action excellent, engraving crisp and well cut throughout. Buttstock a replacement with gaps at edges where it meets metal, but well cared for with a few abrasions to heads and some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine, ejectors strong and in time, bores excellent with minor firing residue.
