Circa 1989 per date code. Mono-bloc barrels are fit with a brass bead on a matted, low profile vent rib. Barrels engraved "Beretta USA Corp., Ackk, MD." on right, "P. Beretta - Italy" on left. Left side of tubes with Italian proofs for a 70mm chamber (2 - 3/4"), nominal 18.4 IBD, Italian nitro proof, 1400 KG proof, and dots for choke codes. Chokes have been refitted with Briley (currently fit with IC in both barrels), and chambers lengthened to 3". Others included are Full, Light Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Light Modified, a third Improved Cylinder, and two Skeet. Underside of bottom chamber with Model designation and serial number. Round nose forearm with point pattern checkering about a Deely latch release, with deeply cut floral scroll on a stippled ground. Sidelocks with deeply cut floral scroll en suite, and vignettes of a pair of ringneck mallards descending into a marsh on left, a pheasant in a meadow scene on bottom, and a pair of geese (?) taking off from a marsh on right. The birds are all executed in raised gold, and the engraving is signed by Candito near trigger guard for Dario Candito, who was one of the four engravers who worked on Beretta's celebrated Dante themed SL3. Toplever pierced with a floral design and with a gold crown, automatic safety with gold "S" ahead of slide, and double triggers protected by a double beaded trigger guard with long tang that has the model designation engraved. Honey colored stock is constructed with a straight grip, point pattern checkering about the grip, a leather recovered recoil pad with English style covered screws. Housed in an oxblood Nizzoli leather case with Beretta PB monograms on clasps, lined in forest green, compartmentalized for gun when broken apart and containing three piece cleaning rod, brush and mop in small rectangular wallet, three turnscrews, two still wrapped, and sleeves for barrels and action. CONDITION: Very good, retaining virtually all of the factory bluing on barrels with some scattered handling marks and thinning at muzzles, with distension around proofs. Some discoloration to rib at bloc. Locks excellent with some slight discoloration to seams of lockplate. Stocks excellent with some handling marks and and minor impressions. Mechanically fine, bores excellent, bright and shiny. Ejectors out of time, with top firing first. Case fine, some rubs to exterior.
