All three sets of monobloc barrels are appointed with a Bradley style red composite front sight and white composite mid bead on a low profile vent rib with machine cut matting and gold "1" "2" and "3' barrel set designations at rear. Double Kersten lockups and engraved with Acanthus scroll at breech and bolsters. Underside of bottom chambers with proofs for Aya and a 12 gauge with 2 - 3/4" chambers, partly visible proofs on barrel under serial number with a nominal 18.5 IBD and chokes. Round nose game forearm with a Deely style latch release, with point pattern checkering about the latch, with Acanthus engraving on exterior iron. Interior jeweled. Sidelocks are Holland & Holland-style hand detachable locks, engraved with mallards airborne over a marsh on left plate and pheasants flying through a meadow scene at right. Balance of action supported by Acanthus scroll work, geometrics and signed at bolsters "Aguirre Y Aranzabal" and with "RUTH C. ATWOOD" inlaid in gold on bottom. Raised cocking indicators. Single mechanical trigger protected by a short tang trigger guard, automatic safety with golden "S" inlaid ahead of slide, lever with AyA lion emblem. Stock of a fairly straight grained walnut with point pattern checkering about the pistol grip, hard rubber grip cap embossed with florals, and a soft red rubber recoil pad with covered screws. Housed in a leather wrapped case with numerous travel stickers on exterior with a central "RCR" escutcheon, lined in seafoam green, with two barrel slips and numerous spare parts including spare V springs and strikers. CONDITION: Barrels very good with the vast majority of their original bluing with some minor scattered handling marks, some silver thinning to edges. Action, bright, with some scattered handling marks. Stock with heavy impressions and handling marks, with some dryness around the pistol grip. Mechanically fine, ejectors strong but a little out of time, bores excellent. Case very good with some age related distress and scattered handling marks from what was obviously a life of extensive travel.
