Only 4213 if these were made in 1841-42 at the Harpers Ferry Armory. This example is dated 1841. The breech is stamped with "H. Ferry US 1841". Finish was brown lacquer with a case color breech block. Walnut stock is nearly full length and has three barrel bands, metal rod, swivels, and iron butt plate. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrel retains approximately 80% of the now evenly freckled brown finish. Block colors have darkened. Stock is very good with usual scattered dents, dings, and there is one repaired sliced piece of wood added to top of wrist. There is another repair splice on right side forward of rear barrel band. There is another repair where rod enters stock. The bore is defined but dark with minor abrasions. Action works correctly.
