This gun is out of the second contract. They were delivered to the Portuguese navy in 1937. The 50 pistols in this contract were serial numbered 4301v through 4351v. On page 427 of the Mauser Parabellum 1930-1970 book it explains the characteristics of this gun. This is an all matching numbers gun. It is missing the magazine. It has "SEGURANCA" on the lower area of the thumb safety, and "CARREGADA" on the left side of the extractor. Second type Mauser banner on the front toggle link. Two piece checkered wood grips with a grip safety. This is a very rare and desirable gun. CONDITION: This gun has scattered freckling and some slight pitting coming through the blue finish. Most of the finish has turned to a pleasing brown patina. Traces of the straw color on the small parts are present. The checkering on the grips is very good with no chips or cracks. Good bore with well defined lands and grooves.
