Approximately 250 manufactured by Rogers, Spencer & Co. of Willow Dale for Pettengill of New Haven, Connecticut in the late 1850s. This is a first model with split loading lever, octagon barrel, and two piece walnut grips. Patent legend on frame. Serial number is stamped on both grips, inside the side plate and under the barrel. CONDITION: Good. All brown patina but there is some scattered pitting on frame and barrel. Cylinder indexes correctly. Grips are excellent. Bore is well defined.
