Manufactured in 1943. Features include serrated blade front sight, round top square notch rear sight, knurled slide lock, knurled short trigger, knurled thick tab safety, checkered magazine release, knurled spur hammer, and knurled rounded mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Accompanied by reproduction lanyard loop magazine. Slide is marked with Colt manufacture panel on left side, "P" proofmark near rear sight, and is serial numbered to the gun underneath firing pin retaining plate. Barrel is marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on left side above lug with "P" proofmark on left side of lug. Right side of frame is marked with crossed cannons, US Property marking, and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY". Left side of frame is marked with "G.H.D." cartouche ("D" is obfuscated) and "P" proofmark. Frame bridle near ejector is marked with "G" inspector marking. Mounted with checkered Coltwood plastic grips. CONDITION: Excellent, with a vast majority of the arsenal reapplied parkerizing remaining with scattered light handling marks. Grips show no major signs of distress. Mechanically fine. Bore is frosted with sharp rifling.
