Barrel is marked with US property mark and "P" proof. Lock is marked with North's manufacture marking. No date is visible at lock or breech. No visible cartouche on left stock flat opposite lock. Stock is of model 1816 form, with forearm protruding out of wickham barrel band. Barrel is .54 caliber smoothbore. CONDITION: Fair, with crack through the grip, markings nearly scrubbed from lock, lock not fitting correctly into mortise, and repair visible on right side. Mechanically needs attention as hammer will stay on full cock correctly, but does not have half cock and stops are soft. Bore is dark.
