The factory letter states that this gun was shipped on June 8, 1929 to the Railway Express Agency c/o W. C. Horwood in NYC with a 4" barrel, blue finish, checkered wood grips and factory engraved Ry. Ex. Agy. This company was formed in 1918 and sixty-nine railroads would take over American Railway Express Inc. on 1 March 1929, under the Railway Express Agency. These were guns used by guards on the railway. It is a standard revolver in all respects. CONDITION: Excellent. The cylinder shows some thinning on high edges from holster wear as well as some muzzle wear. Action and bore are fine.
