1908 first issue military luger. Hold open has been added. Numbered in the commercial style with the military acceptance proofs on the left side of the receiver. Inverted V front and a V notch rear sights. Two piece checkered wood grips. Without a stock lug. Strawed small parts. All the numbers match except the wood bottom magazine. It is numbered 884a. It has GELADEN on the left side of the extractor and GESICHERT in the upper position of the thumb safety lever. CONDITION: This gun retains the vast majority of the factory original blue finish. The major finish loss is to the side plate and barrel. There is some high edge wear. The checkering on the grips shows some wear. Dark bore with some pitting and frosting in the lands and grooves. A nice original first issue luger.
