Manufactured in 1837 by Asa Waters for US Government use in classic configuration throughout. Barrel is US proofed and inspector marked "JH" near breech. Left flat of stock opposite lock is marked with "JH" and "MPL" inspector cartouches. CONDITION: Good, with iron assemblies turned a brown patina. Stock is very good with bubbled finish, repair near lock retaining screw, and light handling marks. Mechanically fine with 2 stops at half and full cock. Bore is dark.
