Circa 1949 per serial number. Solid rib fit with a brass bead and anti-glare matting. Typical legends abutting rib for a 12 gauge made in Belgium; interestingly, the patents are preceded by "Val A. Browning...". Choke codes on side of chambers are "**" and "**-" for Modified over Improved Cylinder. Sliding Browning forearm with two panels of point pattern checkering, with Deely latch release numbered with last 4 of serial number (9201) on leg. Typical Grade I engraving on action, fit with a single trigger; stock configuration is round knob long tang. Non-automatic safety with "S" ahead of tab and "O" and "U" adjacent for barrel selection. Stock with side panels and two panels of point-and-wave pattern checkering at pistol grip. Comb is slightly fluted at nose. Browning Superposed hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Good. Retaining the vast majority of the original finish with some scattered handling marks from the field throughout. Barrels with some superficial handling marks and scattered patches of oxidation and a heavier silver rub on left side of muzzle. Action with patch of oxidation on left side with some smaller scattered freckling. Stocks are very good with some handling marks throughout, and dry towards the butt. Mechanically fine, bores are very good with some striations and evidence of use, a few pits towards chamber on top barrel. Ejectors strong and in time.
