Per the included factory letter, this pistol shipped as a 5" .45 ACP with blue finished and unlisted stocks to Iver Johnson Sporting Goods Company, Boson, Fitchbrug & Worcester, MA, on February 21st, 1917, in a shipment of 25. This commercial features the typical pre-war blue commercial finish, beveled edge v-notch rear sight, flat main spring housing with lanyard, long smooth trigger, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, double diamond checkered walnut grips and one two tone tempered magazine. Gun has a discreet import stamp at base. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains 90% plus original blue finish with muzzle wear, overall high edge wear and scattered handling marks. Bore is strong with light frosting.
