Popular among the secondary procurement channels of the SS, these sniper rifles utilize the Pre-War double claw quick detach system popular on sporting rifles. This later assembled example is dated "44" on the receiver ring, the manufacture code removed to mount the scope. Scope is a Pre-War Hensoldt-Wetzlar Dialytan 4X with single post reticle mounted on ill fitting split tip rings. Rear base marked "Akah". Laminate stocks with milled mounts and cupped butt plate. Externally visible numbers matching. No visible import marks. Includes period leather sling and a lens cover. CONDITION: Good. Rifle retains significant portions of arsenal blue drifting to plum. Scope mounts display a gray/brown patina. Scope is good, retaining most of its original, toned finish. Stocks have expected light impressions and abrasions. Strong, lightly frosted bore. Good but gummy mechanics. Optic has clouded from age.
