Per the included factory letter, this pistol was stored in the Colt Archives from 1982 until 2008, when it shipped to Greg Martin Auctions on October 16th, 2008; further accompanied by a Colt shipping sheet indicating placement in archives. Issued for the State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers (SHOPO), a police union and political action committee located in Honolulu. Standard Colt 1911-A1 with two tone blue finish, smooth rosewood grips with special custom shop medallion, serrated small parts, wind drift rear sight and one magazine. This edition comes with special gold legend surrounded by scroll on left slide. The right side features an old school police car and state of Hawaii seal. Comes in original matching box with paperwork. There is a discreet import stamp at base. CONDITION: Excellent. Appears unfired and shows in near new condition with light handling.
