The Kongsberg Colt is a nickname used for Colt M1911 pistols produced under license by the Norwegian factory Kongsberg Vapenfabrikk. On September 1914, Norway signed a contract with Fabrique Nationale of Belgium for manufacture. A total of 22,311 pieces were made before 1940. The pistol would be produced at Kongsberg Vapenfabrikk in Norway. The left side of the slide is stamped "11.25 m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914." with serial number. Right side of slide is dated 1926. Gun has all visible matching serial numbers and features a blue finish, double diamond checkered walnut grips, flat main spring housing with lanyard, checkered wide spur hammer and one unmarked lanyard loop magazine. Gun has discreet import stamp at butt. CONDITION: Excellent. Shows about 90% plus blue with overall high edge holster wear, muzzle wear with some mixing patina on grip strap. Right grip panel has a dent. Bore is bright.
