Per the included factory letter and Colt packing list, the pistol was retained in the Colt Archives in 1980 before it was deaccessioned to Greg Martin Auctions on October 16th, 2008. The slide features gold scroll engraving surrounding the gold busts of the seven U.S. Presidents born in the state of Ohio: Harrison, McKinley, Taft, Harding, Grant, Hayes, and Garfield. Standard finish is two tone blue. The rear of the slide features a gold inlay of the state bird and seal. Grips are smooth rosewood with gold Colt medallion. It comes in the correct box with a detached end label, hang tag, and paperwork with one magazine. Gun has a discreet import stamp at base. CONDITION: Excellent. Shows as near new with light handling.
