The rarest of the standard issue Seven Snakes series. The Colt Viper was only offered with a 4" barrel and built on the D-frame. Colt introduced the Viper in 1977 and only produced the gun for a single year. Estimated production was around 4000. Per the included factory letter, this gun shipped as a 4" .38 Special with nickel finish and unlisted stocks, and was shipped to Bells Gun & Sport Shop, 3315 Mannheim Road, Franklin Park, Illinois, on September 30th, 1977, in a shipment of three. This standard model features the full nickel finish, fixed sight, and checkered walnut grips with no medallion. Comes in original matching number box with paperwork. There is a discreet import stamp in yoke. CONDITION: Excellent. Appears unfired, inside still has packing grease, shows in as new condition with light drag line and handling.
